Margaret Kenski reminded members that the next meeting on July 12 is a required meeting for all members, as the Commission's vote on performance findings will be conducted at that meeting. She also noted that the rule changes approved by the Supreme Court earlier this year provide for no further public comment on the judges at the Public Vote meeting. In response to members' questions, it was clarified that members may vote in person, by telephone or on a written absentee ballot.
There was discussion about whether the September 2006 should be cancelled. Margaret Kenski suggested that members send any potential issues or concerns to be considered before the 2007-2008 cycle to Annette Corallo, to be added to a growing list of items to be explored further. Some members expressed that the Commission's time in September might be better spent in speaking to the public about the JPR process before the election. Members were reminded that when speaking to the media or community groups they should clearly indicate that they are speaking as an individual and not on behalf of the Commission.
V. ADJOURNMENT:
At 3:00 p.m., it was moved, seconded and passed unanimously that the meeting be adjourned.
